In the state election in Bavaria, which took place on October 14, 2018, the Party for Health Research ran with its own candidates in 4 of 7 administrative districts: in Upper Bavaria, Middle Franconia, Upper Franconia and the Upper Palatinate. For this alone, about 5,000 supporting signatures were needed beforehand, which was a real feat of strength for the members of our party.
In total, the Party for Health Research received 1,005 first votes and 7,743 total votes (sum of first and second votes), which corresponds to 0.1 percent of the votes.
The detailed results are as follows:
Upper Bavaria: 3,123 total votes = 0.1 percent
Middle Franconia: 1,376 total votes = 0.1 percent
Upper Franconia: 1,874 total votes = 0.2 percent
Upper Palatinate: 1,370 total votes = 0.2 percent
Interesting in this context is the performance of our constituency candidates: 0.5 percent was achieved in Hof, 0.4 percent in Neumarkt, 0.3 percent in Roth and 0.1 percent in München-Schwabing. Above all, the performance of our constituency candidates shows that good local roots and committed campaign activities also lead to higher vote results. We want to build on this in coming elections. After all, good election results through constituency candidacies in the local districts also lead to better overall results at the supra-regional level.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all candidates once again for their commitment. Our thanks of course also go to all members and other supporters, without whom our participation in the election in Bavaria would not have been possible at all. Last but not least, we would like to thank all voters in Bavaria very warmly who cast their vote for our party and our constituency candidates.
